Yō̋ Sëry Nêōw (/jʊ̋/ /sɜ̄ːiː/ [early] [language; dialect]) is a subtropical Town located in the Doûvnḱínts̄r Region of the Confederation of Goblin Tribes.

The name Yō̋ Sëry Nêōw is derived from the Goblin language, as Yō̋ Sëry Nêōw was founded by Hāsh Ca̋mp̪fér 'Kimber Melody' Cúoīy Ya̋chī Vúnvēs Vúrmër Vúń̄w̄, who was culturaly Goblin.

Overview

Yō̋ Sëry Nêōw was founded durring the late 14th century in fall of the year 1277, by Hāsh Ca̋mp̪fér 'Kimber Melody' Cúoīy Ya̋chī Vúnvēs Vúrmër Vúń̄w̄. The establishment of Yō̋ Sëry Nêōw suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Yō̋ Sëry Nêōw was built using the conventions of Goblin durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Yō̋ Sëry Nêōw is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Yō̋ Sëry Nêōw is buildings are located arround a single premissive packed earth mainstreet which forms a clockwise spiral to give the town a over all circular shape. The town is protected by a humble stone fence which is tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. Yō̋ Sëry Nêōw's peasent-grade are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

Yō̋ Sëry Nêōw seems to be abandoned at first. There are people present, working their trades and going about their business like any community, it’s just they are absurdly quiet. Just as you start to think there might be trouble, you see most of them are smiling, quietly exchanging words with a friend, or simply enjoying the day as they work. It reminds you of an evening at home as everyone dined, having run out of things to talk about and embraced the savory meal before them.

Yō̋ Sëry Nêōw possesses a city-wide Aethary Link which provides Aethary access anywhere within its metropolitan. This allows citizens who can afford the relevant devices access in their places of work, and rarely homes.

Yō̋ Sëry Nêōw has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Yō̋ Sëry Nêōw has a Hall of Slayers, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Yō̋ Sëry Nêōw has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Yō̋ Sëry Nêōw's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Yō̋ Sëry Nêōw has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Cultural Notes

Yō̋ Sëry Nêōw's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is based upon new and innovative technologies of construction and the idea that form should follow function. It was an embrace of minimalism and a rejection of ornament. The style became characterized by an emphasis on volume, asymmetrical compositions, and minimal ornamentation..

In Yō̋ Sëry Nêōw every night at precisely midnight every structure in town is engulfed by sailors fire until the end of the witching hour.

The Giant cockroach near Yō̋ Sëry Nêōw are known to be quite timid.

Yō̋ Sëry Nêōw's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves creating small tokens to channel Elven High Magic energies of tier 2 via guttural bellowing.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century was ravaged by a deadly sickness. was the epicenter of the disaster, but Yō̋ Sëry Nêōw suffered the most. Yō̋ Sëry Nêōw lost 242 people, 185 livestock, and 62 buildings in the disaster.. The disaster is spoken of in hushed whispers as the Wrath of Loss.
